Band 8a Business Intelligence Manager

 

Northwest London Pathology is new organisation hosted by Imperial College healthcare NHS Trust. In order to support the new organisation a number of innovative projects are being conducted, including the introduction of a new Laboratory IT system, and Pathology automation. Fundamental to establishing this new venture is Business intelligence and informatics, in a format that is easy to access and understand for the Management team.

 

Northwest London Pathology is currently looking for an experienced Information Technology/ Informatics Professional. This post will be responsible for improving the current provision of data, including innovative solutions for the presentation of data to support various customer contracts, internal activity and cost monitoring. Current projects include supporting the Pathology internal and external charging projects, developing information to support new contracts and supporting the Trusts ambitious IT strategy.

 

Key skills required for this post include adaptability, an Information Technology Qualification or extensive experience of database management. Experience of SQL and MSQL.   Experience of Microsoft Access and the use of web based technology to improve the availability of results would be an advantage.

 

Knowledge of the NHS, Pathology or costing models would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful applicant will join a small team with a number of supporting skills and will be given the opportunity to develop new skills.
