Band 5 - Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care Nurse

Cardiothoracic Intensive Care:  New year, need a change or a new challenge??If so for the right candidate Imperial has an exciting opportunity for you to become part of the established nursing team in our Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit

Are you committed to providing excellent patient care in a busy, fast paced environment? Do you have a desire and passion to work in an intensive care area? Imperial has ideal posts available on our Hammersmith site, with the scope to develop your career in the trust, with  Band progression.

We have band 5 posts available on our Cardiothoracic Intensive Unit (CICU) at Hammersmith Hospital site. CICU admits patients post surgery following coronary artery bypass, heart valve repairs/replacements, aortic dissection, thoracic surgical procedures, and cardiology procedures. The  unit consists of 16 monitored beds accepting both level 3 and level 2 patients,. and would suit candidates who want to work in a fast paced environment and develop their acute nursing assessment knowledge and skills.

Staff are supported with their post registration requirements and to develop their career pathway, with plenty of opportunities for further study both to degree and masters level. We can offer you support in developing your skills as you advance in your career including 1:2:1 coaching and regular in-house training programs.
