Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is a busy acute trust in central London and is the central coordinating site for the West London Operational Delivery Network for the care and treatment of those infected with hepatitis C virus.

The Liver Unit is nationally and internationally renowned for their innovative and developmental approach to high quality care delivery always looking for opportunities to work in different ways to improve the Hepatology patient experience.

This is an exciting opportunity if you wish to develop your career as a nurse specialist in viral Hepatitis.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual, who will have experience in the care of patients with blood borne viruses, passionate about the care of patients and the patient pathways, to assist in providing and further developing coordinated care throughout the partner centres of the Network.

It remains vital that Hepatitis services are tailored to meet individual needs in accordance with local, regional and national goals. The Operational delivery network nurse specialist will be instrumental in developing new cross boundary working approaches for delivering patient care.

There will be a clear focus on the clinical delivery of new and rapidly developing treatments.

The role will support the Clinical teams and all stakeholders in the continued development and delivery of effective care for Hepatitis patients.

In addition, they will be expected to assist in advancing the boundaries of professional nursing practice, and to facilitate multi-professional approaches to service development and delivery.

This is a significant opportunity for an independent, innovative, forward thinking practitioner to help shape services for the regional liver teams and growing number of people developing Hepatitis C related liver disease.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional manner are essential and applicants must be able to prioritise and organise their workload.

In return we offer excellent training and development opportunities and the support you need to help you in achieve your full potential.

As the network moves these ambitious plans forward, there has never been a more exciting time to be joining the team.

If you are looking for an opportunity, and are passionately committed to making a difference in liver care, then we would love to hear from you.

Interviews for this position will take place on the morning of Wednesday the 7th of March.

An informal visit is strongly recommended.
