Trust Doctors – ST1 Equivalent

The posts are for Junior Clinical Fellows (ST1+ equivalent) to work in our busy London Teaching Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop emergency medicine skills with the opportunity to work across all areas of the department ranging from ambulatory emergency care to critical care. We offer 24/7 registrar support and a minimum of 12 hours a day of direct consultant clinical supervision during the week. We have 6.3 WTE Consultants and our specialist interests include Pre-Hospital Care, Trauma, Point-of-Care Ultrasound, Urgent Care, Training & Sports Medicine. The Charing Cross ED and Urgent Care Centre sees ~70,000 new patients per year across the whole range of adult emergencies. The hospital also has a 24/7 Stroke Thrombolysis Service and is a tertiary centre for neurosurgery. We run a Consultant-led 10 bedded Clinical Decisions Unit co-located with an Acute Frailty Unit supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary frailty team and Alcohol Nurse Specialist. There are daily Consultant-led clinics in Ambulatory Emergency Care and Sports Medicine.
