As the UK’s first Academic Health Science centre we pride ourselves on being cutting edge in innovation, service delivery and delivering world class care. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our senior nursing team, for an inspirational nurse leader to join/lead the directorate of Emergency Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Are you someone with a strong track record of leading a team? Are you motivated, driven, and have high standards? Can you support staff to achieve their goals? Are you passionate about  creating a respectful environment which encourages a genuine team spirit, and believes in doing the right thing, first time, every time? If you think this is you and you are determined to make a real difference within the directorate, then this might be the job for you.

The successful candidate would be expected to provide strong clinical leadership across the service which is located on two sites at Imperial College (St Mary’s and Charing Cross); therefore cross site working is essential. This post holder will be accountable for the delivery of patient centred high quality care and the development of clinical and professional standards across the directorate. The successful candidate will be accountable to the General manager and Clinical Director and professionally to the Divisional Director of Nursing for Medicine and Integrated care, whilst working in partnership with the wider management team.

The post holder will be providing clinical and professional leadership in relation to safety, quality, and governance and will be working closely with the senior directorate team in implementing the strategic direction for the service.
