Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is an Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) and one of the largest acute Trust’s in the country. Our mission is to provide world class healthcare for our patients, through excellence in research, education and training.

The Trust is currently in a climate of rapid change including proposals for reconfiguration of services and major redevelopment of its large multi-site estate and buildings to better meet the needs of our patients and the service commissioners.

A great opportunity has arisen for someone with extensive experience in managing a Hard FM Maintenance and Operations to play a vital role in implementing and managing a new Hard FM Managed Service contract through an outsourced provider to deliver improved statutory and mandatory compliance, effectiveness and efficiency operation and maintenance of the Trusts estate.

The candidate will have good previous experience in managing medium or large FM contracts and be commercially and financially strong.  They will have a strong engineering background with an engineering or building services qualifications, IOSH/NEBOSH and a strong background in delivering reactive and planned maintenance.

They will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with strong time management and organisational skills. Excellent communication, influencing and contract negotiation skills is a must.

This is an exciting new opportunity within the Trust and we are planning to recruit a Hard FM Contract Manager for each of our 3 main sites.  The Contract Manager will be responsible for the provision of a first class professional, responsive and customer focused Estates Operations and Maintenance service; ensuring delivery of a high-quality and continuously improving customer-focused service to all Trust and site partner users of the service. They will support the Deputy Head of Estates Operations in ensuring the Hard FM Managed Service provider meets both spirit and contractual targets in terms of compliance, responsiveness, quality of service and workmanship. They will also be required to work very closely with the Capital Projects and Estates Redevelopment teams in delivery of a wide range of development and refurbishment projects and support the Capital Backlog Maintenance manager on infrastructure and plant replacement programmes.  Working alongside the Estates Quality Managers, they will be responsible for all audits and inspections as required.

To succeed in this role, the right candidate will have a proven track record of delivery, be an inspiring and empowering line manager, be technically competent in a Building Services Engineering discipline, and have professional credibility within senior management teams.
