Band 7 Magnetic Resonance Physicist

Applications are invited for the post of Magnetic Resonance (MR) physicist within the Radiological Sciences Unit of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHNT). The post holder will work in a team delivering scientific support in MR Imaging and MR Spectroscopy to ICHNT and external organisations.

The Imaging Department of ICHNT is equipped with two 3T and eight 1.5T MRI scanners providing a range of routine and advanced applications as well as research activities. In total the MR physics section is responsible for 16 MR scanners for imaging and clinical development and over 25 further scanners for MR safety and Quality Assurance support. The post will contain a mixture of clinical support and research, particularly in advanced image analysis, as well as teaching and training and quality assurance. There may also be an opportunity to get involved in other non-ionising radiation modalities.

Applicants will have completed, or be close to completing, the training scheme for clinical scientists or have equivalent experience. They will be also be working towards, or already have, HCPC registration and have experience in clinical MRI. This is a full-time, substantive post.
