We can offer you neurosurgery, neurology and stroke development competency training, specialised training days, a wide range of academic and clinical courses and personal development programmes.
Within our neurosurgery, hyper acute and acute stroke, , specialist neurological rehabilitation and neurology wards we care for patients with complex conditions such as :
• sub-arachnoid haemorrhage
• degenerative spinal conditions
• skull base tumours
• metastic spinal disease
• stroke

You will experience and become skilled at nursing patients who have undergone cutting edge treatments like:
• deep brain stimulation - a surgical procedure which treats a variety of neurological symptoms like Parkinson’s disease
• brain focused ultrasound - where we use technological advancement to beam precise ultrasonic energy onto areas inside the brain
• thrombolysis - a treatment to dissolve dangerous blood clots in blood vessels, improve blood flow and prevent damage to tissues and organs
• thrombectomy - surgical removal of a blood clot from inside an artery or vein
