An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Trust with the effective management of Fire Safety. This post will work to the Site Director, Charing Cross & Hammersmith Hospitals and is based within the Nursing Directorate.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with significant experience of Fire Safety to join the Trust and lead our Fire Safety programme.

The post holder will work across the Trust’s 5 hospital sites to support the Trust, Divisions, Directorates and staff in meeting their statutory responsibilities and fire safety needs.  The post holder must have significant experience of fire safety and awareness of the relevant NHS standards and legislative requirements.

The Fire Safety manager will lead a team of 2 Fire Safety officers to provide a range of specialist expert advice and assistance to a wide range of staff, senior managers and Trust Directors with fire risk assessments in a complex healthcare setting.

The post holder will be required to set the strategic direction of our fire safety programme as well ensuring the Trust adheres to and complies with all fire safety regulations. The post holder will require senior level experience and hold all the relevant fire safety qualifications. An extensive and hands on approach to fire training is required with extensive experience in f producing and delivering bespoke training, supported by a relevant training qualification.

The post holder will be required to provide specialist support to the Trust on all aspects of fire safety, and will lead on the writing and delivery of the Trusts Fire Safety Policy, as well as knowledge of relevant Building Control Guidance documents and current fire safety legislation is essential.

The post holder must be proficient in the writing of board level reports and fire safety strategy as well as in the presentation of information at a senior level
