An opportunity has arisen within the Nursing Directorate Education Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The post of Lead nurse responsible for the development of all Health Care Support workers within the Trust from their initial induction through to the opportunities to apply for Nursing Associate or secondment to Registered Nurse training has become available.

The successful post holder will work with the team to oversee and deliver the Care Certificate for the non-registered nursing, midwifery and AHP staff within Imperial NHS Trust. The Care Certificate is the foundation of the development pathway for healthcare support workers within the Trust. The post holder will also be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of continuing development for support workers through dedicated development study days and overseeing and co-ordinating the delivery of the Senior Health Care Assistant apprenticeship programme.
The post holder will report to the Lead Nurse for Education and work closely with the practice education colleagues across the divisions.

The post would an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 6 or band 7 nurse/practice educator looking for strategic development experience in provision of education and a chance to contribute to the wider agenda. We are happy to consider secondments, flexible working or job share applications.
