Healthcare Science Education Lead

Band: 8a

Fixed Term for 12 months

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an experienced scientist to provide leadership in education and training for our healthcare science workforce. The Trust employs 1000 scientists across the life sciences, physiological and physical sciences. We are currently preparing our physiological science services for accreditation by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). The postholder will play a key role in establishing an evidence based training and competency framework that is compliant with the UKAS improving quality in physiological services (IQIPS) standards.

The successful candidate will have prior experience of training and mentoring and have a keen interest in clinical practice education and development. You will need to demonstrate that you are pro-active, highly motivated, well organised, have excellent inter personal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a senior team.

Responsibilities will include the development and implementation of strategies to support the educational needs of our healthcare scientists. The post will be diverse and challenging, requiring a high level of enthusiasm and excellent communication skills. The leadership and management skills to ensure guidelines and policies are implemented will be critical to the role.
