Applications are invited for a full-time Consultant radiologist post, with a particular interest in paediatric imaging, which has arisen due to trust clinical appointments, extension of existing services and new service demands.  The appointment offers an opportunity to strengthen the established team which consists of 3 Paediatric radiologists. The ICNHST Paediatric department includes general paediatric, paediatric haematology and level 2 oncology, paediatric rheumatology, paediatric trauma with acute surgery, and the largest neonatal unit in North West London based on two sites.  There are plans to expand the acute and the elective paediatric surgery over the next 2 years.

The successful candidate will have completed formal training in paediatric radiology but will also be required to support the substantial consultant team in general adult imaging activity.

The post initially will be split between St Mary’s and Hammersmith/ Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals. The timetable and location may well change in the future as the Trust re-aligns services.

The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to training and research, as well as working with the Divisional team to help manage the service effectively.  It is anticipated that the post holder will contribute to this important activity via participation in the training scheme, including educational supervision, working with Divisional management in service management and development, and involvement in research.

The applicants must hold their CCT in Radiology or be on the GMC Speciality Register, or be within 6 months of being granted a CCT.

Non-UK/EEA applicants should ensure that they are aware of recent changes to the Immigration rules for Postgraduate Doctors and Dentists. For further information on how this may affect your application, please visit the Home Office website or contact the Home Office's Immigration and Nationality Enquiry Bureau via telephone on 0870 606 7766.
