Business / Project Manager – Specialist Medicine Hammersmith

18 months Fixed-Term


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business / Project Manager to support the recovery of services and pathway re-design post Covid-19 for the directorate of Specialist Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The post holder will be a key member of the management team, supporting the senior managers and clinical leads with the delivery of recovery and re-set plans post Covid-19, for services across the directorate. This will incorporate pathway re-design, Business planning and operational performance management. You will be responsible for managing the administrative team and will work with clinical and managerial colleagues to ensure that national and local targets are delivered, clinical pathways are optimised, and resources are managed efficiently and effectively. You will also be involved in projects to improve utilisation, productivity and patient experience.

The successful candidate will have worked in a busy clinical environment and have management experience. Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff. The ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on the important issues when decision making is essential.

A good understanding of national waiting time and treatment targets is also required.
