Due to maternity leave within the team we are recruiting to a Band 7 Dietetic post for 6 months at St. Mary’s Hospital. There is a possibility that this post may be made substantive in the future.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 7 Dietitian to provide a Specialist Gastroenterology and Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery Dietetic service at St. Mary’s Hospital.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality, evidence-based clinical service to inpatients and outpatients. This Dietetic position covers one IBD outpatient clinic a week.  It is anticipated that your clinical experience and knowledge will contribute to the continuing development of these specialist services.

There are numerous opportunities for audit and service development and you will be supported and encouraged to actively participate in these areas.  Research is supported by the Therapy Research Facilitator and other research staff working within the department.

We are a large, high profile, friendly department involved in undergraduate and post graduate medical training.  We also provide Dietetic student placement 2’s and are involved in teaching other health professionals such as nursing and therapy colleagues.

The department also supports robust Continual Professional Development for all staff members. If you have excellent dietetic knowledge and expertise in nutrition support in Gastroenterology and/or complex Lower GI surgical patients, have the ability to prioritise your workload, enjoy working within a dynamic team and can work under pressure; we look forward to receiving your application.
